A recent day off took me over the hill to Annadel State Park
in Sonoma County. This petite park is located on the outskirts of Santa Rosa,
and is bursting with possibility. There are miles of sweet single track to take
advantage of whether it is by foot, or 2 wheels. At the top of the park lies
Lake Ilsanjo, which is a great place for a quick dip or open water swim
practice in the summer! Armed with a Yountville Deli sandwich and my Kindle I
headed up to the lake (about 8 mile hike round trip via the Live Oak to
Rough-Go trail) to enjoy an afternoon of quiet serenity.
